This company provides resources for "humane science education." There are free brochures and materials for exploring the ethics of animal dissection in education. There is also a lending library of resources for the study of anatomy without using animals, including models and software to simulate dissections. Nearly everything is free!

Derek Owens Math and Physics

Online classes (live options in Atlanta area) in high school level math and physics. Courses include video instruction and printed workbooks. Students complete written assignments and submit them electronically for feedback. They can also email questions to the teacher. Looks like a good, complete program at a fairly reasonable price.

Building Heroes Academy

This company is just starting out and offering a very interesting concept: all-in-one, family-style, character-based curriculum. There is currently one year of curriculum available and you can pre-order the second year. (Looks like they're planning on at least four years of materials.) The program includes language arts, math, history, and science for elementary ages. *A note about religion/philosophy: The concept of this curriculum struck me as ripe for religious dogmatism, and I saw a few catch phrases that concerned me.
