Arttango

Free art lessons for elementary ages. The lessons concentrate on the elements of art (such as line, shape, and color.) There are 30 lessons for each grade level, and a handy materials list for each year.

The Artful Parent

This blog has hundreds of great ideas for doing art with kids. There are a couple of books and online classes available for purchase, as well as some free printable resources. The suggestions of art supplies for different ages are particularly helpful.

Harmony Fine Arts

Charlotte Mason style art and music curriculum plans. You can purchase plans for an entire year, or shorter units focusing on one composer and artist. The plans give you links to books, cd's and online content, plus weekly suggestions for pacing and activities.

Masterpiece Society

Self-paced online courses including hands-on art, plus art history and appreciation. These courses are very reasonably priced and designed for multiple ages and even parent participation. (*Note on religious content: one course is designed for girls and moms and has a bible study component with it. I also noticed some comments in course descriptions about boys using other colors if they don't like pink. If you are concerned about gender exclusivity, you'll want to look closely at the materials and be prepared for some discussion.)

Meet the Masters

This online art curriculum combines art history and hands-on art instruction. You can purchase a "track" with lessons on 5 different artists, choosing from three age levels. There are also bundles with multiple tracks, and you can save money by sharing the curriculum with other families, or purchase through Homeschool Buyers Co-op.

Artventure

An online drawing curriculum from an Australian mom and artist. Video lessons show kids how to draw a particular picture, developing the basic drawing skills they need to become confident, creative artists.
