Maths Online

This site from the University of Vienna has a collection of multimedia, interactive activities for learning higher level math concepts. There are also online tests, puzzles, and links to lots of other great resources.


A collection of hip-hop song videos that teach concepts in many subjects. Videos can be watched in regular or discussion mode (the video automatically pauses in certain spots for questions.) There are accompanying discussion questions, quizzes and activities. Subscription price is reasonable. 

Get the Math

This site helps students apply algebra concepts to real world problems. The videos present problems to be solved with math, and interactive content helps students work through steps to find the solutions. A great way to help kids learn the practical applications of math.

Front Row

Free online curriculum covering math, language arts, social studies, and science. Designed for schools, to adapt to students at different levels. There are lessons for use in classroom situations that can be adapted, and individual practice activities and assessments. Also includes record keeping features. There are printable options as well, but they are limited without a paid school subscription.

Math Stories

This site has thousands of word problems for elementary level learners. There are also a few strategies for solving word problems. The annual subscription price is very reasonable, although the payment process is a bit primitive.


An online math program for use on phone, tablet or computer. Designed to be used in short sessions to practice essential concepts and skills. Depending on your approach to math, it may be a complete program or a supplement.
